What sets AiM Extreme Duty Lubricant apart from other lubricants?

  1. Bio-synthetic additives – the carrier liquid in AiM is a light mineral oil. Our proprietary biological and synthetic additives do the real work.
  2. Nano-technology – nanoparticles are an integral component of the additives in AiM. These microscopic-sized particles align and adhere to the metal surface to create a lubricating layer that reduces friction, heat, corrosion, and wear.
  3. Ionic bonding to metal – AiM shares electrons with metal surfaces – an ionic bond. This bond tenaciously adheres the lubricating layer to the metal, protecting it from rust, corrosion, and wear. For example, it protects bike chains from salt water and makes cleaning the chain simple and easy.
  4. Liquifies carbon buildup – carbon buildup initiates because of asperities in metal surfaces (the microscopic peaks and valleys) of chains, bearings, and gun barrels, increasing friction that causes wear. AiM liquefies this carbon, making it mobile and preventing further carbon buildup.  When AIM is applied initially to a clean chain, black residue begins to move out of the chain components.  This is the carbon and grime that previous lubricating products have not removed.
  5. Penetrates microscopic cracks in metal surfaces – even the most highly polished metal surface of a bike chain or gun barrel has microscopic crevices where carbon and dirt collect. Lubricants typically fail to penetrate these spaces and clean them out.  AiM penetrates these microscopic cracks, liquifies the carbon buildup, and bonds to the metal surface to prevent further buildup.
  6. Attracted to heat – the penetrating action of AiM causes it to move toward heat. Auto mechanics will heat up a rusted bold to red hot, spray AiM on it, and as it cools, AiM will penetrate like solder into a joint, reaching the metal surface beneath the rust layer and freeing the frozen bolt so it can be removed.  This same action happens when friction and mechanical forces cause the bike chain to heat up; AiM moves toward the heat source to reduce friction and wear.  AiM in a gun barrel moves toward the areas that heat up – reducing friction and wear.
  7. Effective in extreme cold and extremely hot environments – because AiM bonds to the metal surface, it is operational in extreme cold and extreme heat.
  8. Non-toxic, non-hazardous – AiM is safe to use, has virtually no smell, and is safe around pets.
  9. Cleans, lubricates, and protects – many aerosol lubricants are primarily solvents – having the effect of mobilizing residual material on bike chains and parts. The immediate appearance is that the chain is now lubricated because it is working better for the moment.  Unfortunately, solvents dry out, leaving a residue that attracts dust and dirt and builds up carbon and grime.  AiM liquifies carbon and grime, and as the chain is used, expels this residue that can be wiped away.  AiM does not dry out, unlike other lubricants.  AiM does not leave a residue behind.  AIM's liquifying action cleans, while AiM's bonding action lubricates and protects the metal parts.  Thus, a single product cleans, lubricates, and protects.
