Best Oil Treatment - PlanetSafe OT vs Lucas Oil Additive

How does Lucas oil additive compare with PlanetSafe-OT?

Lucas Oil additive was applied at the recommended rate to Quaker State 10W-30 oil. Lucas reduces the friction on start-up but fails to keep friction low after 40 minutes. This may be related to the ability of the friction reducing components to remain attached to the metal surface. At some point the molecules fail to attach to the surface of the metal and increased wear begins and temperatures begin to rise. Thus, friction increases for one third of the test period and results in more wear than PlanetSafe-OT. Lucas Oil additive results in 0.48 mm of wear after 60 minutes which is 33% more wear than PlanetSafe-OT (0.36 mm).
